Mitzy is a typical German Shepherd - loyal, obedient and quick to learn. In her previous home Mitzi had a bad experience with another dog and so can be defensive when meeting a new dog for the first time. She is looking for understanding owners with previous dog experience who can help her overcome these fears. With time, patience and a little training she will make someone an extremely devoted companion. She waits patiently to be chosen, could you be the one? |

Hi my name is Zen, I’m an original Holly Hedge, returning after two years of living in a loving home. I’m a great fun dog that really enjoys running and playing with other dogs and children. In my last home I didn’t get much exercise so I look a little over-weight, but with new energetic owners this would soon disappear. I know I’m a very handsome boy, and that you would be very proud to own me. I will always greet you with a smile and a wag of my tail. |

Biff is a friendly happy girl looking for a new home. She loves to go for long walks, be groomed and play games. She is sociable with other dogs out and about on walks but would probably be best as only pet. Ask to meet Biff she really is a lovely family dog. |

Holly has come to Holly Hedge as sadly her owners emigrated. She is a very good natured and friendly dog who is very people-orientated. She chases cats so needs to be the only pet in the home. Smudge is a high energy dog waiting for a patient and committed owner who can channel his energies. Smudge is good natured with people and children, but because he can easily become over excited he is looking for a calm adult only home, where he can rest between long walks and fun games. With the right home environment and plenty of exercise, Smudge will quickly flourish into the most loving and loyal of dogs. If you have what he needs, please consider giving him the chance. |

This pretty girl found herself here as her owners were evicted from their home and were unable to keep her. Tara just loves to play, especially with tennis balls and she'll provide endless entertainment fetching and bringing them back. She walks very nicely on her lead and just wants to please. Tara has lived with young children previously, and so would make an ideal dog for a loving family home. |

Ozzie is a good natured dog with a real zest for life! He is wonderful with children, but as he is going to need lots of time and training will be best homed with older, teenage children, younger visiting children will be fine. Ozzie is very strong on the lead, and his new owners will need to be patient and firm, and put in some hard work to get him under control. With time and training Ozzie has the potential to become the perfect family pet. Are you up for the challenge? |

This loveable rascal is a real little bundle of fun! OK so Kushdi is at the moment a bit of a “rough diamond” - lacking some manners and needing a little basic training. But with a little time and patience, she will be “perfick”. And just think about all the mischief and larks you could get up to together. Could Kushdi be the one for you? You’d have to be a right “plonker” to pass her by. Please come in and meet her. |

This cute girl just loves to be the centre of attention with lots of fuss and cuddles. She was sadly brought to us as her owners hours changed which left her on her own for long hours. Now she is just waiting for her new home where she can be spoilt with affection and lovely long walks. Jess is a very loyal and fun dog who would make a great playful companion! She is good with dogs, but we are not sure how she is with cats. |

Daisy is a real gentle giant who's amount of love equals her size! She is an affectionate dog who is very good on the lead and good with other dogs. Although she hasn't lived with children, she does seem to be good with them and as such would suit a family with older children. She is a fun dog to be with, enjoying either interesting walks or ball games in the garden. Please come in to meet her, she really will make a fantastic addition to any home. |

Angel is a beautiful semi long haired black cat. She can be a little shy when you first meet her, but she is always happy to see someone. She loves to play and is fine being groomed. Angel has not lived with children before but is happy being around older sensible children. If you can offer Angel a loving home then please come in and meet her. |

Lucy is an affectionate little cat, who loves nothing more than climbing on your lap. She would be most suited to a quiet home, where she would get lots of cuddles. Poor Lucy is here because she wasn’t wanted anymore. Can you give her a fresh start? Lucy is keeping her paws crossed! |

She doesn’t let this get her down as she is hoping for a happy ending to her sad story. Amber is shy, so will need a quiet home, and unfortunately she cannot go to a home where there are other cats, but she will give you all the love you need. Could you be Ambers happy ending? These two lovely girls arrived here with kittens, both are now speyed. Sadly despite efforts from staff to fully domesticate them, they still are partly feral and would suit a home where they can be looked out for but lead an independent life. They would be happy with a barn or similar with a comfy bed and nice food, where they would be free to come and go. |

Teddy is a very loving, although strong willed young dog. He loves being around people and would benefit from an active home with owners who will play with him and take him on fun walks or runs. He loves other dogs although a little to the extreme! As soon as he sees dogs, he wants to meet and play with them. His over-excitement often means he leaves his manners at home, so we are looking for his new owners to be happy to take him to training classes to help his socialisation skills. He lives with a cat and although he will chase her, they tolerate each other and Teddy will respect her if she tells him off. His owner often takes him to work where he meets many people, horses and chickens etc and is always well behaved. He lives with older children but also regularly sees an 18 month old with whom he is very gentle. Teddy also walks nicely on the lead, is very clever, and has learned lots of tricks. Angel is a 4 year old rottie that is looking for a new home now her owners are working full time hours. She is quite a nervous dog, so would benefit from owners with large dog experience and the time to help her overcome her worries. Her training and socialising has been very restrictive, so she needs owners with patience to help her gain confidence when meeting other dogs, people and not to be scared of things like bikes and cars. Taz is a lovely gentleman who is slightly deaf now. He is neutered and other than deafness has no other health problems. His owner is poorly and sadly now can not look after him anymore. He has not lived with children, but is good with teenagers and above. He seems good with other dogs, but will chase cats! This dog is not at the Sanctuary |

Paddy is a good natured dog who has lived with older children. He is needing a new home with energetic people where they can give him the exercise and attention he requires. He will chase cats and needs to be the only pet in the home. This dog is not at the Sanctuary, but please telephone us and we will give you the information. |

Hugo is a 4 year old St Bernard that is looking for a new home as, with a baby on the way, his family are finding it all to much. He has lived with children aged 3, 9 and 14 years and seems very good with them. He has lived with another dog which he got on very well with, but he is not taken out for walks much so he would benefit from re-socialising. He enjoys attention and has not problems being bathed, groomed or cuddled. This dog is not at the Sanctuary |
