A gift in memory is a poignant and meaningful way to honour the memory of a loved one that had a passion for animals. By helping a cause you know they loved you will be helping us to continue providing shelter from harm, now and in the future.

These donations really make a difference to the lives of our animals. A donation of £20 could pay for the flea and worming treatment to help save a kitten’s life, £40 could pay to castrate one tomcat helping to stop the cycle of unwanted kittens, £200 could help towards the cost of urgent medical treatment needed for one of our animals such as poor Josie who came to us in urgent need of a tail amputation.

Holly Hedge is so very grateful to receive donations of this sort especially as they mean so much to you so we would also like to give something back and will give each In Memory donation of £200 or more a personalised plaque on our online In Memory Tribute Wall.

There is also the opportunity to have a personalised plaque displayed permanently at the sanctuary for donations of £500 or more.

You can also create a tribute page in their memory. A tribute page is a special place where family and friends can get together to pay their respects and share memories of their loved one. You can make a donation in memory in the following ways:

Donate online – set up a JustGiving ‘In Memory’ page and ask for electronic contributions from your family and friends.

Include a ‘contributions box’ – at the funeral. Get in touch and we can help provide the box and a small sign to explain what we’re about and what to do.

Donate by text – text HMEM25 £x to 70070 (Where x can be one of the following amounts £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10)

Donate by post – send your donation to Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary, Wild Country Lane, Barrow Gurney, Bristol, BS48 3SE. If you would like to donate by post we recommend sending in a cheque.

Or you may wish to speak to your funeral director who will make all the necessary arrangements.
